The Walking Man IIThis is a kinetic installation that embodies the most human behavior, ‘walking’ behavior with the most mechanical mechanism. So-called ‘upright walking’ involves a very insecure and complex mechanism that you have to maintain balance on one leg to in order to take a step forward. This walking method is highly associated with being human. This work is a visual exploration that tests the boundaries of perception of ‘humanness’ through a simple mechanism consisting of cranks and motors.
